* Italy was the only country to win a medal in every discipline (swimming, open water swimming, artistic swimming, diving and water polo)
* China won gold in every diving competition (Shangai 2011 was the last time it happened)
* US women’s national water polo team won gold for the fourth time in a row
Go Italy!!
Random fact — Did you know that China does not have a strong swimming culture? The vast majority of Chinese cannot swim.
Italy carrying Europe team
I wish this was advertised a bit more, I had no idea it was happening.
Italy are massive
Wiat, where’s Sweden and the Netherlands? In Swedish media it always sounds like swimming is mainly a battle between Sweden and the Netherlands.
Special mention for David Popovici (Romania) who won two gold medals in the 100 and 200 meters freestyle at the age of 17.
