In order that the DWP can dismiss the ‘fit note’ as not being issued by a medical professional as is required by Social Security Legislation. They will point to a ‘healthcare professional’ not being a ‘medical professional’ and insist that your benefits cease. Petty? Nasty? Unbelievable? Yes. All those things. The DWP has form for all those things.
