The Youtube Channel “Not Just Bikes” visited Switzerland and uploaded an Informative video about the bicycle infrastructure in different Swiss cities (Basel / Bern / Zürich / Winterthur).
Amazing video, as always! I used to life in Zug & been often in Zürich/Luzern. Now I moved to Basel and it’s a huge contrast! I honestly live happier just because I can get around so easily, go by bike or by the amazing tram system. I really hope that other cities in Switzerland can become what Basel has achieved already. Zürich, Zug, Lucerne are such beautiful cities if these freaking cars wouldn’t take up all the space, be noisy, and most importantly be a health & safety concern.
Good for our image that he didn’t go to western Switzerland 😛
I’m not surprised they found Zurich to be the worst 😅 And they didn’t even saw the really bad parts!
I’m amazed at the thoroughness of the report, they did not just observe inner city pedestrian streets, but went really out there to tram end-stops! Impressive!
I used to commute daily in Bern during the mandatory home office period (individual office, don’t hate) but gave up on it when traffic increased again. Too many close calls with cars, even when biking super defensively.
