Senzi is another Lisbon café that made it onto the list of Europe’s 100 Best Coffee Shops 2026, taking 53rd place in the ranking.
Located on Rua da Moeda, not far from Time Out Market, Senzi combines speciality coffee, matcha and brunch in a bright, modern and very clean space.

Coffee is an important part of Senzi, and they use beans from Nomad Coffee, one of the well-known names on the European speciality coffee scene. But what really makes this place a little different is its focus on matcha. There are several varieties available, as well as more unusual signature drinks, including combinations such as miso hojicha latte. Senzi also organises matcha tastings and workshops.
The food menu is varied, with plenty of breakfast and brunch options. Eggs are served in different ways, including omelettes, while you can also find porridge, lighter options and desserts. Their Basque cheesecake is one of the bestsellers.
During our visit, we had a cappuccino and their signature cheesecake, and both were excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, which always makes a difference to the experience.

I also enjoyed the atmosphere. Despite being in a busy part of Lisbon, Senzi feels relaxed, and the interior is bright and simple.
With its combination of excellent coffee, creative matcha drinks and a strong breakfast menu, it was easy to understand why Senzi found its place among Europe’s best coffee shops.
