  3. Some of the proposals:
    – Restrict free fuel cards
    – Car-free Sunday
    – 100km/h on highways
    – Increased focus on isolating social housing + help poorer people isolate their own house
    – Energycheque for people just above the social tariff for energy
    – Implement the index on tax brackets in July instead of December
    – Combine 13th month and vacation pay into the same pot as regular wages
    – Accijnzen on gas as compensation for lowering BTW on electricity

  4. Tankkaarten beperken >< telewerk enkel aanbevelen?
Liberaal Bouchez >< meer steun voor bedrijven?
One or more of these don’t add up…

  5. I assume if using fuel cards for personal use gets banned, that also means no more VAA, right?

  6. Worker contracts can’t just go down in value because of passed law right? So companies will have to compensate. And I guess it would be easiest to compensate fuel costs then because that’s equal value to what the original contract was. So that would just mean back to more administration where workers will just hand in their receipts for gas station visits and they’ll get it back. Or am I missing some tax exemption things or something that made the fuel card work out better for companies than cashbacks?

  7. Piss the fuck off.

  8. Can someone explain how me having to pay 300€ a month on fuel because I can’t use my fuel card is improving my purchasing power?
And while I’m all for helping out the poorer class, none of these measures seem to help the middle class a lot (as usual)

  9. The 100kmh thing is utter crap. You can drive 100 if you want, i mostly drive 110 because i’m a relaxed dude. But making it mandatory 100 will give you the same crap like in the netherlands where its hard to pass an 18 wheeler or have them breathe in your neck if you let your foot of the gas for one second.

Elke week?

  12. My first thought: ‘this will change nothing’ .

Second thought: This will really change nothing, they try to reduce fuel consumption but -again- big industry is not in the picture’. No emergency investment in solar/wind energy. No investment in public transport. Just some ‘bandages on a wooden leg’ ie. not helpful.

  13. It’s not about your purchase power, it’s about limiting fuel and gas consumption to build up reserves in case Europe will run out of fossil fuel in the future.

  14. Typical dumb government proposal that hurts people and helps nobody when there are already solutions existing that are not applied.

I know the government cannot remember anything from the past and can’t see further than 4 years in the future but there is something that is called the mobility budget and could really help everyone if they enforced it instead of making it optional.

But I guess removing fuel cards would only result in more tax income for them so it’s just a dream ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  15. Does this even matter? We are already slowly forced to take an EV and will charge at home or at work. Or is this part of the fuel card they talk about?

  16. People around the poverty line get some crumbs and everyone else is made poorer. This is wonderful!

  17. Rules rules and more rules. It are all those rules that ruine this country. Soon we will have nu shower saturdays and eat cold tuesdays.
