Hi all! I came to Poland in October 2021 and my visa expired on 30 June. [If I understand correctly from this source,](https://www.gov.pl/web/udsc-en/coronavirus-outbreak–special-solutions-for-foreigners) all visas are extended till the end of the pandemic.

* **Extension by law also means that no administrative decision will be issued for that reason, and we will not going to confirm that the validity of the visa or the stay has been extended in any other manner (e.g. by stamping, by placing a note in the passport of by issuing a relevant certificate).**
* **The extension will not require any official sticker in your travel document. Please be reminded, that the provisions of the Special Act explicitly exclude such a possibility.**

I want to ask that, is it okay if I go to Italy for three days and come back in July? Does anyone have this kind of experience?

The law is only valid in Poland, it’s not European law. If your visa is a Polish visa, it will allow you to stay here until the the 30th day from the day the special law is lifted (which we still don’t know when). Italy is in the Schengen, and by definition, you can technically safely travel there IF you are not somehow noticed by internal border guards. There’s always a risk (albeit small) when you fly within between Schengen airports or driving across internal borders. Trains are usually safer but Italy is quite far. The other thing to consider is your nationality. The passport you hold may allow you to travel without a visa within the Schengen legally anyway.
To sum up:
1. The Polish visa will allow you to stay in Poland until 30 days after the law is lifted.
2. If you have the right to visa free travel holding a passport which allows you to do so, the 90/180 day rule applies anyway and you can travel within this limit.
