RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) – A local school recently honored a former teacher and principal.
Poland Junior High School held a special ceremony to honor Bob Stevens on Monday night. He was a teacher and principal at the school for 23 years.

As a basketball player at Poland Junior High, Stevens set the Class C record for points with more than 4,200.
He also played for Louisiana College and was inducted into the Louisiana School Athletic Association “Hall of Fame” in 2017.
