TAIPEI — Google is accelerating its schedule for developing and rolling out its own customized chips, shifting from a two-year cycle for each generation to introducing two chips a year and eventually even more to stay ahead in the artificial intelligence race, the company’s AI infrastructure chief said on Wednesday.
