India is emerging as a more diverse market for Switzerland, with over 678,000 hotel overnights in 2025. Christian Schoch, Director India, Switzerland Tourism, said that India is among Switzerland’s top 10 source markets. He said the shift is being driven by repeat travellers looking beyond the familiar. “We are seeing repeat visitors who already know the classic Switzerland and now want to discover something different such as new regions, different seasons, and more personal experiences,” he said. Schoch added that winter, wellness, and soft adventure are gaining traction, while demand is also expanding beyond metros into tier II and III cities.
