Florida is definitely a circus of political corruption. A grand jury finds Medicaid funds misuse for political purposes by Hope Florida. But surprisingly no criminal charges for all people involved including the present Florida Attorney General and one of Florida senators in Washington. Apparently it pays to be a high rank political figure in Florida.
As a longtime resident of Winter Park (23 years) I am ticked off at the hubbub concerning the future of Merrywood. New owners of the 1939 home designed by architect James Gamble Rogers may want to demolish it and build something new. Some residents are aghast and want the dwelling saved. Saved by whom? Why? Have you seen photos of Merrywood? It’s a dump and that’s where it belongs.
I would like to know how citizens of the US can impeach the Supreme Court of the United States. No one person should be given unlimited and unchecked powers over our country. That is not a democracy and we are no longer UNITED States.
We need to put money into prevention of problems, rather than dealing with fallout from dangerous situations after the fact. Put some money into community centers in low income areas with opportunities and guidance for young people.
