It’s amazing that people don’t die often, falling off that fucking thing
The price of timber is through the roof at the moment. How much does that thing cost?
We can’t burn a bit of turf or smokey coal and they’re burning a small forest worth of pallets 🙄
It would be hilarious if someone lit the thing a few days early
What a waste of pallets.
No ill will, just ill health from the raging health hazard that is that bonfire. Surprised the Greens haven’t spoken out about it. Because surely a bonfire mainly consisting of painted pallets is a master air polluter.
If those useless cunts put even half as much effort into their education might actually go somewhere in life.
Each one of those pallets cost£25 to Chep( company that owns them)
It looks like a massive game of Jenga
Wait, what is this?!
ps: I’m new to Ireland. No clue what this is.
This will only end when a few of them are killed or maimed sorry to say.
Wtaf. They use scaffolding for that shit?!
Unionist: So you’re sure this will stick it to the nationalists, Mr. pallet-store manager?
Manager: Oh yes, papists fear wood, didn’t you know?
Unionist: I’ll have 10,000!
Manager (trying not to snicker): Yep, that’ll keep ’em out of your hair till next year.
Is your man 4 to the left at the top getting a pallet elevator while riding another pallet if so then those orange bastards have some serious tech, might have underestimated them..
What are these people even celebrating? Do they actually even understand what they’re doing at all? Or are they just copying what the previous generations did and not question why they are doing so?
Somebody please get them all to stand on the top for a photo, then set fire to the dang thing.
The annual Cote d’Ivoire hate fest, very sad.
At least most of you don’t live near them, I have to deal with this fucking day every year up close. A day where bigotry and hatred are at the forefront and half of the north celebrate it, just depressing to be honest
If it’s any consolation, I’m a prod and most other prods I’ve talked to these folks are twats too. I don’t really understand why they do it either. I’m just glad our wee country twelfth is considerably more relaxed than the hate-fest they have in Belfast every year.
As if massive bonfires were some kind of normal occurrence, too
Is there a pallet just sticking out proud from the tower holding that one delinquent?
Feck scaffolding and all. Yikes.
I hope it rains
Wonder which Celtic player they’ll call the N-word on their banners this time
Causing air pollution and making life a living hell for anyone with an underlying lung condition
It cracks me up this shitty tradition they do. I honestly find it so funny, a gang of grown ups making a bonfire and standing around being gobshites together.
Fall off, gwan
The amount of time and effort wasted on that monstrosity! Imagine if they put the hours wasted into something useful for their community?
“It’s over nationalists, I have the high ground”
So thats why my manager tells me not to mix blue and reds in the warehouse…
I work in Aldi
cash for ash scheme re-introduced.
ugly monstrosity
128 rows, I counted so you don’t have to
“respect are culture”
Sad excuse for culture
Tis a fine bonfire but tis no barn English.
Look at all that culture. Much tradition. Wow.
Ah sure why not light thousands of pallets coated in fire retardant coating which will no doubt release copious amounts toxic smoke in to the air, fucking retards with this shit
& their Queen wouldn’t piss on them if they were on fire
Imagine being the guy who sold them all those pallets
The Ivory Coast has always wondered why they were dragged into it.
Those protestants, up to no good as usual…..
Hello, I came here from r/all. I’m a Canadian, and don’t have a lot of background into using history but from reading the comments I understand that one group seems to consider this event fun and another group considers it historically quite negative. Without wanting to seem aggressive or ignorant, am I on the right track and would anyone be able to help me further?
