The 10th meeting of the Swiss-Azerbaijani Joint Economic Commission will be held in Switzerland’s capital, Bern, on September 15.

The commission is co-chaired by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov from the Azerbaijani side and Andrea Rauber Saxer, Head of the Bilateral Economic Relations Division at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and Federal Council Delegate for Trade Agreements, from the Swiss side, Report informed.

The previous, 9th meeting of the commission was held on December 13, 2022, in Baku.

Furthermore, during his visit to Switzerland, Jabbarov will also participate in the business forum “Investment Opportunities in Azerbaijan.” The forum is expected to bring together a wide range of representatives from the business communities of both states.

Key topics for discussion will include expanding investment cooperation, prospective areas for joint work, and current aspects of bilateral economic ties between Switzerland and Azerbaijan.

According to data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, foreign direct investment (FDI) from Switzerland into Azerbaijan reached $326.378 million at the end of 2025, representing a 5.06-fold increase compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, Azerbaijani FDI into Switzerland over the past year dropped by 43.19%, totaling $37.833 million.
