  1. This happen today, outside of Irish Cancer Society charity shop. I just left it there literally for less than a minute (as a did before) and it was gone in seconds. The scooter wasn’t locked (I know I should lock it). I’ve reported it to Garda.

Just wanted to warn others from making the same mistake as I did.

  2. That’s outside an Irish cancer society charity shop. The owner of the electric scooter was probably inside buying something.

Horrible thing to happen to them having that stolen

  3. The cheapest one I’ve seen is like 300 or so, no way I’m leaving something like that without at least a little lock or some other deterrent.

Not saying of course it’s grand to nick things, but there always was the opportunistic thief.

  4. Don’t worry he won’t get far.

The Garda will stop him for no licensee, insurance or tax while operating a motorised vehicle in a public space!

  5. I feel bad for the owner and all but honestly what did they expect. I would lock my bike anywhere I go in Dublin if it’s going to be unattended. Same should apply here. Too many little scrotes around.

  6. The comments in this thread are victim blaming from top to bottom. Should you be careful? Yes. Is it ever your fault? No

  7. Not gona lie I don’t have too much sympathy for the girl. Leaving a scooter unattended in Ireland is one thing but in fucking Swords?
