Paulina Paukštaitytė’s song “Sėkmės” (“Good Luck”) has already taken on a life of its own – it has been performed at concerts and various celebrations across Lithuania and has become a firm favourite among listeners. Now, the song has also been given a visual story. Today, a specially created music video is being released, telling a story about the road to success and reminding us that behind every dream lies not only the final result, but also countless small steps, hard work and people who, at certain moments, become important sources of inspiration.
Every road to success has its own story
With the new music video for “Sėkmės”, P. Paukštaitytė wants to remind listeners that behind every dream lies a long journey – sometimes an easy one, but at other times filled with doubt, effort and difficult moments.
The video features some of Lithuania’s biggest stars
The music video for “Sėkmės” features three personalities from very different fields – P. Paukštaitytė herself, legendary Lithuanian basketball player Jonas Valančiūnas, and European and world champion breakdancer Dominika Banevič, better known as B-Girl Nicka, who has made Lithuania known around the world.
Although their professional journeys and achievements differ, all three are united by perseverance, hard work and determination to achieve their goals. This is precisely the example encountered by the video’s three young protagonists – they meet people who once had big dreams of their own and who have now become an inspiration to others.
Today’s children remind Paulina of her own childhood
The story told in the music video is also personally meaningful to Paulina. While performing in different parts of Lithuania this summer, she repeatedly noticed her young audience – children singing along to her songs and approaching her after concerts to talk and share their secret dreams. The singer says she often sees a part of herself in them.
“At concerts, I very often see young girls singing along. We talk after the shows, and I see so much of myself in them. I remember myself as a little girl pursuing a goal, going to music school, where there were both good days and bad days. When you dig into those memories, you realise how many beautiful things come from childhood and how important it is to have ambition and a goal. You never know where it might all lead. That is exactly what this video is about – it explores the stories of three children, their dreams and their journey towards them,” says P. Paukštaitytė.
Dreams begin with believing in yourself
Success can mean something completely different to each person. For one, it may be a stage and applause; for another, winning a championship title; for someone else, it may be their first important performance or simply finding the courage to take a step they had long been afraid to take. Yet all these different journeys have one thing in common – believing in what you are striving for and having the determination not to give up.
All of this comes together in Paulina Paukštaitytė’s new music video:
The song “Sėkmės” will also be performed live at Paulina Paukštaitytė’s concert at Arena Vilnius on December 11. Tickets for the event are available at Bilietai.lt.
And Paulina herself has one final reminder for her listeners: you can never have too much good luck – especially the kind that comes when you believe in your dream strongly enough not to give up.
