In April-June 2026, Sweden imported 1.4 million m3 in the quarter, while Norway increased its share of Swedish imports by 17 percentage points and Latvia lost 9 pp of Swedish imports, according to Lesprom Analytics.
The ten largest suppliers shipped 11.2 million m3 to these markets, holding 84% of their imports.
Shares changed hands fastest in Germany, where Norway increased its share of German imports by 17 pp and Poland lost 13 pp of German imports.
Germany shipped 766 thousand m3 less across these markets, while Norway shipped 291 thousand m3 more. Canada imported 110 thousand m3 in April-June 2026, all supplied by the United States.
In the first half of 2026, the thirteen largest softwood logs import markets imported 26.4 million m3. Norway shipped 570 thousand m3 more, while Germany shipped 1.2 million m3 less.
