Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been accused of committing sex crimes in the US by a congressman.
Republican lawmaker Thomas Massie today named Mountbatten-Windsor – the former Duke of York – in a speech to the House of Representatives related to the crimes of paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
“We want perpetrators of these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted,” Massie said. “And Prince Andrew, who committed sex crimes in the United States.”
“Perhaps hearing these names will shame the [US] Department of Justice into delivering justice.”
Virginia Giuffre accused Queen Elizabeth II’s son of having sex with her when she was 17, having been trafficked to him by Epstein.
Mountbatten-Windsor has repeatedly denied committing sex offences. He was stripped of his titles in October last year.
The former Duke of York was arrested on his 66th birthday in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office, after Thames Valley Police said they were looking into claims that he passed confidential and official government documents to Epstein while serving as UK trade envoy.
He has also denied any allegations of wrongdoing related to his official role.
Congressman hoping to force release of remaining Epstein files
Massie is trying to pass legislation which would force the US Government to release any remaining Epstein files.
Although a member of Donald Trump’s party, he has been vocally critical of the President’s handling of the topic, saying Trump had “disenfranchised” Americans who voted for him over the Epstein files, government spending and the war in Iran.

The congressman was defeated in Republican primaries in May, meaning he will not stand as a candidate in the upcoming midterm elections and will leave Congress in January.
Massie’s speech comes after reports that an unnamed woman claims she was flown to the UK by Epstein to have sex with Mountbatten-Windsor and is considering testifying against him.
The Epstein files, released by the US Department of Justice, included a photograph of Mountbatten-Windsor on all fours over a woman.
The documents also revealed messages from Epstein to Andrew in 2010 offering to set him up with a “friend” who was “26, russian, clevere [sic] beautiful, trustworthy”.
A legal letter also claimed Mountbatten-Windsor and Epstein asked an exotic dancer to “engage in various sex acts” at the late convicted sex offender’s Florida home.
