As winter approaches, Ukrainian organizations in Sweden are coordinating with businesses and local partners to address a threat that reaches far beyond the cold.
Representatives of Ukrainian civic organizations met at the premises of the Ukrainian Institute in Sweden. The event was initiated by the Embassy of Ukraine.

Participants discussed Ukraine’s pressing needs, as well as coordinating joint efforts by the Ukrainian community, Swedish partners, and businesses.
Ukraine’s preparations for winter
Particular attention was paid to preparing Ukraine for the winter season. Russian attacks have damaged the country’s energy infrastructure, potentially causing disruptions to electricity and heating supplies.
During the meeting, the embassy presented the Swedish-Ukrainian “Warm Ukraine” campaign. Its goal is to strengthen Ukraine’s energy resilience and help critical infrastructure get through the winter.
The funds raised will be used to purchase:
generators;
backup power equipment;
heating equipment;
other resources needed to support critical infrastructure.
Donations are being collected by the Swedish organization Radiohjälpen. The funds will then be transferred to trusted partners working in Ukraine.
Swedish and Ukrainian citizens, Ukrainian communities, business representatives, and civic organizations can join the campaign.
The meeting provided a platform for coordinating further cooperation between Ukrainian organizations in Sweden and their partners. These joint efforts will strengthen support for Ukraine and help it prepare for the challenges of winter.
