Malta’s search for its singer for Junior Eurovision 2026 commences, while Switzerland will close its submission window for Eurovision 2027.

This evening, the Maltese selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2026 commences.
The Voice Kids returns tonight as the Maltese selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Malta will be selecting the singer who will represent the nation on home soil this October in Ta’ Qali at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre.
Participants will audition for the three coaches (Destiny Chukunyere, Aleandro Spiteri Monsigneur and Gaia Cauchi). If the coaches want a participant to join their team, they press their red button and their chair turns around. If only one coach turns around, then the participant automatically joins that coach’s team. If more than one coach turns around, the participant chooses which team they would like to join. If no coaches turn around, then the participant is eliminated.
The Voice Kids 2026 will be aired on weekdays on TVM. The show will be presented by Maxime Pace, who will present the show for the second year in a row. You can watch the show live here.

Today is the last day for songs to be submitted to the Swiss selection process for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027.
It is the deadline day for Swiss acts to submit their songs to represent their country at the 71st edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Burgas, Bulgaria. Song submissions opened on August 20 and will close tonight at 23:00 CEST. Full rules for the selection can be found here, with the song submission link here.
As has been the case since 2019, Switzerland will choose their representative through an internal selection. This process combines the assessments of a national and international expert jury with an international Eurovision Song Contest fan jury, both deliberately made younger to meet the current jury requirements of the EBU.
