Venture capital firms from the US and Britain have arrived in Queensland to scope out the state’s defence sector, just days after Premier David Crisafulli secured lucrative face time with US Vice President JD Vance.
While on a five-day trade mission to the US, Crisafulli landed a 10-minute meeting with Vance in Washington, during which the premier spruiked Queensland’s defence capability and its readiness to supply critical minerals to the US.
