The European Union is to cite climate change as a major justification for a new €200mn Arctic expansion plan targeting Greenland.
Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is expected to announce the new injection of cash during her ongoing visit to the region, which is being seen as a response to growing United States interest in purchasing it.
