I’m admittedly biased but Irish whiskey is just better.
Ever wonder why Gin became so popular in the last 10 years or so? They’re all planning to make whiskey but selling gin while the whiskey ages. Gin is fast and cheap to make relative to the good stuff so they may as well make hay while the sun shines.
Personally I think Irish whiskey is leagues ahead of the competition in terms of flavour. It might not be quite in the running with the Scot’s in terms of variety but hopefully this resurgence will change that.
