[This seems to be the site based on the video; across the road and 470m from the tomb.](https://goo.gl/maps/8kh1w9QAbdxfnhdeA) It’s just the usual nimby objections disguised as concern for archaeological heritage. It’s within the urban footprint of the town and there is literally already a house on the site.

  2. So, absolutely no other countryside around Sligo that they could be building on…? Co. Clare will be building apartment blocks on the Cliffs of Moher next and all that wasteland of The Burren’s going begging. Clonmacnoise needs knocking now as it’s just a ruin, and Newgrange is just plain old and needs flattening and building on, etc, etc, ad infinitum. They set the precedent with Wood Quay…
