Champions will be crowned in Italy, which will stage both the semi-finals and medal matches.
The championship begins with a preliminary pool stage, with the 24 teams divided equally into four groups. Each pool is played in a round-robin format, with the top four teams from each group progressing to the Round of 16 and the start of the knockout phase.

Pool B, hosted in Bulgaria, features Bulgaria, Israel, North Macedonia, Poland, Portugal and Ukraine.
Pool C, hosted in Finland, features Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Serbia and the Netherlands.
Pool D, hosted in Romania, features France, Germany, Latvia, Romania, Switzerland and Türkiye.
From there, teams must navigate a series of single-match knockout rounds, progressing from the Round of 16 to quarter-finals and semi-finals.
The two semi-final winners will meet for the men’s European title on 26 September, while the losing semi-finalists contest the bronze medal match earlier that day.
