Presidential election campaign to begin on September 25

Preparations for the presidential elections on October 25 are proceeding as
planned, Central Election Commission spokesperson Stoyanka Balova-Tsvetkova
said at a briefing.

So far, the Central Election Commission has registered five
political parties and one initiative committee to nominate an independent
presidential candidate and an independent vice-presidential candidate. The
deadline for registering parties and coalitions is September 9 at 5 p.m., while
initiative committees can
register until5 p.m on September 14. The election campaign will begin on September 25 and end on
October 23.

The voter information campaign will be held under the slogan “Your
Voice, Your Choice”.
