Following
the
Seddon
Memorial
tournament
over
Labor
Day
weekend,
the
Sherburne-Earlville
Timberwolves
boys’
soccer
team
stayed
home
to
take
on
Poland
on
Tuesday.
After
being
down
1-0
at
halftime,
S-E
fired
up
in
the
second
half
to
win
5-2.
S-E
saw
great
opportunities
in
the
first
half
from
Raphael
Olsen
with
a
close
but
short
shot
and
a
shot
that
hit
the
cross
bar.
S-E
also
had
many
corners
in
the
first
40
minutes
of
play
but
could
not
capitalize.
Poland
was
able
to
have
a
breakaway
and
score
the
game’s
first
goal
with
just
under
five
minutes
until
halftime.
S-E
was
fierce
going
out
for
the
second
half
after
a
strong
pep
talk
at
halftime.
Matthew
Morgan
took
a
cross
from
Kyler
Buschor
and
netted
it
in
to
tie
the
game
with
the
goalie
occupied.
Not
even
a
minute
later,
Nasick
Chrisbacher
scored
on
a
high
kick
to
give
S-E
a
2-1
lead.
After
that,
S-E
continued
to
play
strong
on
offense
when
Tommy
Kenyon
scored
on
a
pass
from
Nasick.
Poland
answered
back
to
cut
the
lead
to
one
10
minutes
later
but
then
goalie
Hudson
Schwartz-Pumiilio
held
the
Tornadoes
with
great
saves
and
good
defense
from
Gavin
Ingerto,
Brooks
Lagoe,
and
Braden
Lewis.
Tommy
Kenyon
found
his
second
goal
of
the
game
again
from
Kyler,
halfway
through
the
second
half
before
Brooks
Lagoe
had
a
great
chance
and
netted
one
in
to
make
it
5-2
on
a
free
kick.
