  1. What the fuck. That’s absolutely horrifying.

What on earth was the rationale for a non-custodial sentence?

Is there really no legal mechanism to move a serial sex offender more than 100 metres away from one of their victims?

  2. Jesus Christ.

Six victims. *Six*. And he’s bailed right back to the area where he assaulted them.

The mother’s right that he should be in foster care if they can’t find other relatives, but frankly I question if a serial offender should have been bailed at all.

  3. He is going to hurt other women without a shadow of a doubt. In this kind of case, child or not, he needs removing from the population and lifelong monitoring at a minimum

  4. The state will no longer protect ordinary people, it’s time for community justice. In medieval times local women would turn up outside wife beaters houses and beat pots and pans all night. A peaceful but fucking noisy protest outside his house till they move.

  5. There is something very wrong with that 13yo boy. So many sexual assaults at such a young age. His home life should be checked out.
Also he should not be allowed back home as it’s so close to where his poor victim lives.

  6. Here’s my perspective. Britain’s criminal justice system is far too lenient on sex offenders in general.

I follow one of those groups on Facebook which reports on sex offender convictions. Many of the sentences handed down to sex offenders for sexual assault of children, producing indecent photos of children, etc are utter jokes. And I’m not counting the SHPO’s or terms on the sex offenders register either because these additional restrictions don’t work and don’t deter re-offending.

  7. So regarding the age of the culprit, who is 13, i am really concerned about how this lad became a serial rapist. Regardless of his age, he shouldn’t be let out, never mind within 120 metres at all.

This lad needs help. He needs consequences. Not only that, he needs protection

Because that lad is going to be hunted down by the family of the victims. That kid is very likely to be murdered.

  8. As a father i hope people (the police) have SEEN this distance from the victim and its not just happened as an oversight. I wish nothing but the best recovery for the young lady, but all im going to say is this. Im pretty sure if i was the father here, MY house would be already under surveillance. I wont even make a single fuss when you come to get me for my crime. Ill let you throw the whole book at me.

  9. I’m not surprised. Just the latest in a string of our “justice” system defending and borderline endorsing violent sex criminals.

  10. I get the feeling he will end up in court at 18 and it will only be then that the penny will drop and the missed opportunities to intervene earlier will be pointed out, to the exasperation of the prosecution. I’m all for a more lenient justice system but that does not mean those who present a clear danger to others should be given such a high level of leniency as this. This kid needs a lot of help if they want to function at a level even close to normal, without it he will become a prolific sex offender and ruin the lives of many women before he is stopped.

  11. The conviction for reported rape is less than 2%. I don’t know if another crime, let alone a crime so serious with a lower conviction rate. The worst part of it being is we just accept it.

  12. Why would you phone the police when that’s the kind of justice that gets served? I genuinely would wait near his house and then accidentally lose control of my car and knock him down.

  13. Ik a boy who’s sa’d and raped multiple girls even impregnated one, majority of them far younger than him. His mother died years ago so people treat him with complete sympathy and only a few people including myself know who he really is and what he’s capable of. Some older people know but turn a blind eye believing they’re just stupid rumours.. they’re not

  14. I would be weary as to how the media severely hyper sensationalises topics like this in the UK, a bunch of unnecessarily hateful bastards. You all need to have faith that the criminal justice system knows how to accurately gauge risk and apply safeguarding measures accordingly, they have learned from a HEAVY amount of cases in recent years. In terms of rehabilitation, they know what works and what DEFINITELY doesn’t.

EDIT: If overly aggressive twats really cared about the victims, they wouldn’t jump on this shitty ass bandwagon of abuse and have the modicum of decency required to treat all people like another human fucking being.

EDIT 2: Also, sexual assault which involves both an underage perpetrator and victim is any kind of touching regardless of whether the other person “consents” or not. What he did was bad don’t get me wrong, it’s just that the word assault puts automatic thoughts and images in our heads that don’t actually match up with the legal definition of sexual assault.

  15. I can understand not seeing male rape victim as rape victim or not willing to punish women rapist because of how traditionalists many countries still are but now not even punishing male rapist? Well even if he is a kid I think he should at least sent to some months in jail and after that to therapy.

  16. Well, my inaccurate comment has generated some non-productive further comments by someone who likes the Daily Mail, so I am deleting them.

  17. Where are the families of the girls? Where are their fathers and brothers? Clearly the state can’t be trusted to protect our families anymore.
