The petition against this development has almost reached 35,000 signatures!
I live about 25 mins away from here. The road to Elterwater is typically narrow and Cumbrian. If it had to support the implied volume of traffic, the resident’s lives would be a nightmare. Terrible idea!
It’s not a “rollercoaster” it’s one of those gravity toboggans like this.

These protesters are seriously overestimating the draw of a few zip lines and rope swings.
And instead they think it should be … What? Left as a hole in the ground forever?
