I hope every day is agony with no escape for them.
Remember when stories like this were rare and would pretty much blanket the news? Feels like every week or so there’s another now. Can’t really comment on the sentencing, saying what these people truly deserve is grounds for a ban from this sub and reddit itself.
I seriously worry about the prospect of the teenager being released in 15 years.
The poor father, watching his statement after the trial is heartbreaking.
Well this is a downright depressing and depraved state of affairs
Such a short, miserable and tragic life that poor boy had. I cannot comprehend how a mother can allow people to do harm to her children. I just can’t wrap my head around it. I have two kids and the protective, nurturing instinct is the strongest thing I’ve ever felt.
It would be easier to bring back the death penalty than to have to spend taxpayers money looking after these vile people
Anyone can have a kid, not everyone can be a parent. At least the mother and stepfather can never hurt another child like they did here. I hope the teenager never grows up to have kids, yet I suspect he will end up with several and treat them with apathy at best, violence at worst.
I used to think what unjust god would make a hell. But now I realise that there are some people who genuinely deserve it.
Yet another story of single mums and dads having a revolving door of partners going in and out of their child’s life. A non-related adult in the house is by far the biggest threat to children.
All the child abuse stories from the last few months involved either a stepmum or a stepdad. Not to mention cases like Baby P.
>A juror says she was so traumatised by evidence at a child’s murder trial she suffered recurrent nightmares and was signed off work for more than a month.
Fucking hell. Rest in peace Logan and I hope the jurors and Logan’s father get all the help and support they need.
Fathers and mothers, fight for your children. If Logan’s father knew something like this would happen, I don’t think he would have cared about how difficult she made his life or how much money it would have cost him to take her court.
Logan’s mother was simply a bad parent who didn’t safeguard her son and his father was complacent and had little or no inclination re the welfare of his child.
