Heineken isn’t noticeably worse than the Belgian mainstream pilsners. Heineken got its bad reputation when they bottled in clear bottles when beers would smell like cat pee after exposure to sunlight. That’s no longer the case though.
It’s other beers than pilsners that make Belgian a beer country. Jupiler really isn’t better.
