Call me crazy, but this seems wild to me. Some of these countries, hell, all of these countries have huge economic troubles at home. Rising costs, lack of housing, etc, etc. And they’re all supposed to rebuild UA’s cities? AND the local population should be ok with it? It seems wild.
I think it would be better if Russia had to rebuild them, just like Germans rebuilt all the destruction from WW2. Maybe this will open people’s eyes and prevent that from happening ever again.
This is like Hitler admiring Speer’s model of the rebuilt Berlin while the Soviet army was fighting in the suburbs of Berlin.
So Greece which is insanely indebted and has had a stagnating standard for years is going to restore Mariupol which has been completely destroyed ? And this actually sounds like a likely scenario to anyone ?
I’m surprised Europe plans to rebuild areas that will most likely remain under Russian control. I’d have thought they would only help rebuild regions still in Ukraine.
That if this war ever stops, I don’t think Putin even wanted to conquer Ukraine but just to destroy, and destroy it again once it’s been rebuilt and make life more miserable than the russians have it.
I’ll help in Odessa and life there when I get older 🙂
