Madeira, Portugal is truly a hiker’s paradise. I made this amazing cliff hike used in the past to transport wine along the island a few weeks ago. The views were breathtaking and the trails are not very difficult, so can be done by anyone.

1. careful with sayings trails not very difficult and that it can be done by anyone, at least two foreigners went missing on the past 6-12 months and are still missing.

   Madeira looks very pleasant and not threatening but be careful of misrepresenting its real dangers. It is a lot more dangerous than it looks.

3. É relativamente frequente pessoas perderem se nos trilhos da madeira, nos Açores nem tanto, com a excepção da escalada ao topo do pico que de vez quando mete algumas pessoas em apuros, que teimam em subir sem guia.
