My grandma had about 10k steins in her home. Every Christmas/BDay she’d give her grandchildren one. I received this one last Christmas. What’s the story behind it and/or the significance? I can only find something about the turnip man.

  1. The absolute majority of „steins“ were produced to be sold to tourists. They usually have no significane or meaning behind them other than „what would a tourist think looks interesting and therefore buy from me?“. This would certainly fit that category.

  2. Since I never heard of any relevant cultural significance of steins here in Germany, maybe she just thiught “Hey, you just look like this stein!”
