This is a 20,000 sq ft property (about 20x the size of a 3bed semi).
Looking at the pictures it appears to be a “premium” type rental. There are loads of rip off accommodations but this isn’t necessarily the best example
It doesn’t look like 2000sq m, more like 2000sq ft.
Like the views but wouldn’t call it luxurious.
If you look it up instead of trying to mislead people you can see why it is so expensive.
I’ll always enjoy people putting up premium luxury accommodation as an example of “rip off ireland”. Like someone putting a high spec Ferrari up and complaining about the cost of cars.
Why bother looking at extreme luxury stuff if you’re looking for value?
€9948 divided by 7 nights is €1421 divided by 5 people works out at about €284 per person, per night. Which is about right, for luxury accom. Just because you can’t afford it, doesn’t make it a rip off.
It’s not actually 2000 square metres; think they used the wrong units. It is an upscale place, though, and right on Lough Corrib, so of course it’ll command a premium price, especially during the peak season on short notice. (For comparison, you can rent the place for a little more than half that price in October, if you want…)
If you’re looking for a better bargain, there are plenty of properties around Galway that can be had in the summer for a fraction of that price. They aren’t really fancy newly renovated homes with huge gardens right on the water, of course, but that sort of thing is always going to cost more.
I bet you’re the kinda chump that moans about the price of a Ferrari.

But they’ve dropped the price by €250…bargain!
