  1. You know how loads of people are scared of public speaking. Then this guy has the confidence to stand in the Dáil and yap away like that

  2. The time Bin Laden was caught I worked in Clonmel, there was a joke that Bin Laden was buried at sea so Mattie couldn’t turn up at his funeral

  3. He sounds like the end of the Paddy Losty voice clip – expecting him to be going on about Maureen’s fry and taking shirts (Daz fresh) off any man’s back

  4. A poet

    >… is not transparent. We will see this when all the dirty linen is washed. If the clothes were hanging out on the line on a good summer’s day like today they would be fairly well stained. They would need the washing machine and Daz or whatever is used now. They have gone away from Daz. I am not saying that I am a bad homemaker and I do not do some washing but I am not up to speed with the capsules that go into the washing machine. It used to be Surf and Daz when I was a duine óg. The Ceann Comhairle will also remember them. We have a lot of clearing up to do. The Bill is not fit for purpose…

  5. It makes me incredibly patriotic to be able to make out every word he just said, understanding the words does the opposite

  6. We actually watched that man at work.
He’s doing his job and that man is paid to do what he just did.

  7. I don’t get these comments, he sounded perfectly understandable to me, talking shite as well as any man should be able to.

Though maybe I’ve just spent too much time in Tipp.

  8. I can’t tell if Ó Fearghaíl is smiling because he is cringing so hard or if he is proud of himself for remembering Daz.

  9. Lads, seriously. It was funny for a while but can we stop voting for complete gobshites. I’d settle for just 75% gobshites right now.

  10. Flawed as our democracy is, all you have to do is look at our nearest neighbour to see how much worse it could be. They’ve been making our lot look stellar for at least a decade now.
