>Forces and aircraft carrier will be based in UK but ready to defend Baltic country, says defence secretary
So essentially meaningless, since those soldiers and aircraft carriers would obviously be involved in any conflict involving Estonia regardless of this commitment being made
Why would you commit a carrier group into an area where there’s a huge number of NATO airbases on land?
Not a well thought through strategy methinks.
While we cut 10,000 over the next few years. What joke. I’m sorry but As a guy who is in the process of joining the army, this is just embarrassing. How are we supposed to play wearing role in NATO when countries half our side field bigger armies? I want 2.5 of GDP and a retyrn to 2009 numbers AT LEAST. France has 100,000. Why can’t we?

@mods I took the title [from here](https://i.imgur.com/qa2WldN.png) instead of the suggested title as it contained more information
“Eastern Flank”? Should’ve thought the “northern flank” was more worthy of OUR attention
The aircraft carrier being committed isn’t new.
HMS Prince of Wales has been the NATO Maritime High Readiness Force Flagship since January
