why does the the Vantaa airport make you wait till 2 hours before boarding to check-in your bags. we arrived around 4 hours till the flight and we had to wait all tht time before we can move on. not the biggest problem but kind of annoying.

This is not unusual, and is not related to Helsinki-Vantaa airport. It differs per flight and your airline.
Once I was in same situation I noticed that person on priority desk was bored and scrolling their phone. I took the change and asked for bag checkin, that went wen Wells and we continued to security check three hours before flight.
It’s common. They would have to have logistics to store luggage for all the flights of the day instead of putting them straight through to the system. This information is also available on the airport/airline website.
