Looks like shopping in Germany is back on the table.
Actually not so good for us.
Doesn’t this happen with every major war/global disturbance? People start exchanging for francs for the stability causing it to rise in value.
You’re crazy girl
Swiss manufacturing problem
That’s not good if you’re economy relies on exports to Euro countries
Thé frontalier will be happy
This is actually really not so swell for our economy.
I’m go shopping on the weekend over there. Hell yeah
As we are mainly exportators so its sucks
I know sound like we are better, fuck Euro go CHF!
But as an export focused country, this is rather bad for our economy…
i went to do groceries out in germany, as i had to pick up the special food for my dog, that they don’t ship to switzerland, so then i combine it with groceries.
then when coming back the customs agent, what i have.
i told him what i had all and in the end he asked we with me most serious face “do you want to open a restaurant!?!?”
i was super confused and thought i said something wrong but he then said i can go.
i know it was supposed to be “a joke” but he was not smiling before or after he said that, i had more of the feeling of
“i can’t stop you from buying cheap shit in germany but i sure as hell can make you feel bad”
if so, he did not succeed, i was just very confused
We’re the ones taking it though, with reduced exporting…
I’m a Swiss leaving in Japan, and between the yen falling and the frang raising, my little trip home this summer just got 20% more expensive compared to the beggining of the years. It sucks.
Thanks, Putin.
The Euro was an awful invention. So glad smart countries stayed out of it.
I am not sure that swiss exporters, or any swiss company relying on european tourists (hotels, restaurants in mountain resorts) are sharing your enthusiasm
