Wow, 600 people in a huge fuck off London based organisation earnt an attainable London wage for any half decent experienced corporate manager or skilled worker
I would be interested to see how much the various correspondents and editorial staff at the Evening Standard get paid.
Who cares? We should be more concerned about the fat cats earning around 30k.
Ah yes, headlines that tell you *what to think* and *what to be outraged about*.
Not “Over 600 TfL **employees**”
but “Over 600 TfL **fat cats**”
This is tabloid-level bollocks. Give us the facts and let us decide what we think about it.
I’m more curious that so many of them are paid overtime, is that normal in public, executive-level positions? Unpaid overtime is the norm and expectation in many professions especially at this salary.
Some alternative headlines:
600 people have a decent standard of living in London.
600 employees compensated fairly for their jobs
600 driven individuals have dragged themselves up the corporate ladder
Anyone who gets paid 100k+ at TfL is on well below what they would get for the same role in the private sector.
You can actually see what these roles are, as TfL are required to publish the job roles and descriptions of all roles over 50k.

The fact that they’re paying cats anything at all is shocking to me. What do they even do on the underground, there are mice everywhere.
There’s grads that are probably on £100k tc, it’s really not the crazy salary the article makes it out to be
Well My Lynch’s pay package is worth over 100k
Long live the champange socialists!
