I still have PTSD because of the times when I worked in the supermarket during summer when bieber’s “baby” was a hit.
RA RA RASPUTINNNNN
I used to listen to Q every morning in the car because my fiancee (we were carpooling) enjoyed the kleine gemeentjequiz.
That’s when I learned that pop music apparently consists of no more than 10 mediocre songs that would be all be absolutely forgettable if it weren’t for the fact that you hear them every day, over and over. The list of popular songs changes so slowly, it’s infuriating.
I know this sounds so damn elitist, but I genuinely don’t understand how anyone can enjoy following the pop music scene.
Why do you even listen to the radio?
I was very happy when spotify on carplay became the default when I was driving. I never liked all the talking in between the songs anyways
Or the same 5 commercials are even worse!

Interne Keuken is the only show I turn on my radio for. No idea which song this meme is about. Based on the conversation here, that’s a lucky position to be in.
I´m so happy cars have usb ports now. Just plonk a usb with 500 songs in and put it on random.
Bye radio stations, won´t miss you!
Radio Willy ftw 🤘

Stubru with their 20-song playlist on repeat
For my work i go to a lot of diffrent places, but for the last two weeks ive been in the factory of lotus in oostakker, and they play nothing but qmusic 8 hours a day … I tell you, that’s not fun.
And the fucking remixing/remaking of old songs… fuck off already. Like it wasn’t fucked up enough already without them having to ruin classics by slowing the song down and having a random singer read the lyrics… I’m looking at you Dua Lipa!
**Radio Willy** has been a revelation.
Wim Oosterlinck in the mornings and Marcel Vanthilt in the afternoon, fewer ads, rock music old and new…just great!
Wa ne kut liedje… Ja ik heb et al genoeg gehoord
GENOOOOOEEEEEEEEGG
Nearly a decade or so ago when I was doing a vacation job picking orders in a warehouse the radios in the warehouse were tuned to Qmusic. Instead of using a watch I knew when it was break time based on the song they were playing. Literally the same schedule every day with two songs being replaced a week during their daytime scheduling. It was horrific.
Willy & Klara FTW!
I think the playlist is made by the average facebook user that have flower themed profile pictures.
Luister dan naar Willy. Beste radio
THAT STUPID FUCKING SONG!
And it’s the notes after that that are just so earrapingly awful..
>Want ik heb nooit genoeg. Genooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeg
I have literally installed one of those big red emergency stop buttons between our radio and the poweroutlet to quickly turn off the power when that garbage plays

Do people actually listen to radio? Isn’t it like 50% commercial, 20% blablabla and 30% music?
Most radio is sponsored by big music corporations to promote a select set of artists, that’s why they play the same songs fifty times a day. Not worth your time.
There are some exceptions like Willy radio, but most people will move to Spotify etc. eventually, which is not necessarily a good thing because that’s also heavily sponsored, but it at least provides a broader range of music + on demand. Subscription is almost always a better model anyway.
I hope radio reinvents itself with DAB, which could theoretically lead to better curated commercial radio, but I’m not very encouraged.
Imo radio is dying and streaming will be the future.
As a beginning guitarist, this is what my neighbours are probably thinking
As someone who has worked at multiple stations: we have strict rules when making a playlist and record companies make deals to make sure we play their artist enough. Funnily enough we can’t play an artist multiple times in an hour (except when they’re not the main artist but a feature) but people want to hear popular songs (some people only listen 1 hour a day so don’t hear the repeats) and if it’s songs they don’t know they just change to a different station. Yeah I wish I could play different songs sometimes but the majority want those 5 songs on repeat
>naar de radio luisteren en kwaad zijn dat ge brakke radiomuziek hoort
als er nu eens een service bestond waarbij ge zelf je muziek kon kiezen
Zijn we dan toch niet 1 op eeeen miljoooeeeennn?
