Hi all. I’m a foreigner here in Estonia.

I’m looking for the following: pepto-bismol/BISMUTH SUBSALICYLATE in Estonia. I cannot find anything similar to it. Something that makes use of Bismuth Salts.

The closest thing I found in Estonia is this:

With the above, it’s still not the same as the product i’m looking for. The above item is not sold anymore in Estonia, and if it were, it would need a prescription. Any help with finding the product would be appreciated.

  1. I think its all aluminum/magnesium salt based here – bismuth overdose risk or something I guess. Generally don’t find it in EU.

  2. The drug availability differs wildly between US and EU because they have different FDAs and a whole different process. This is no news and you’d have to be naive to not expect this. You can’t get PB in Estonia.

But you should just ask a pharmacist how to treat your symptoms, or if it’s a chronic issue talk to a doctor and treat the underlying issue. Don’t combine drugs without consulting a medical professional, obviously. Even if you’re not insured, getting medical help is very affordable in Estonia compared to places where pepto bismol is sold.
