During lockdown they altered the machines in my local Tesco to stop them saying “All of your Tesco points add up” but they didn’t time it quite right so it just says “Ah” and then is muted.

I had someone over on Boards a few years ago arguing with me because they were claiming that the machines say “scan your clubcard to *win* clubcard points”. When I told them that any that I have heard have definitely said earn, not win, they tried to convince me that different machines must have different recordings, and the ones in their local Tesco definitely said win.
I remember that weird time in Dealz they had like fucking…. Yoda and Elvis impersonations doing the automatic checkout. So condescending
