  1. with 450$ (which means 2100 RON) you will live like a king as a student. Think that a cashier at a Mega Image has this money as salary per month.

  2. Rent: did you find already a place where you pay that?

One meal at a restaurant: $8.66 – correct

    McDonalds: about $7 each visit

Internet: $8.74 – correct, the internet is not very expensive here

Gym- $29.14 you can find a gym with these money

    Haircut: it’s usually 10$/haircut

  3. Rent : I have no idea
Restaurant: 6-20$ with drinks (beef is more expensive)
Mcdonalds: around 5-6$ for a big mac menu
Monthly bus pass: 6-12$ with student discount (it depends if you want to use only one line or all of them),
Internet: if it isn’t included in the dorm price then it sounds about right
    Gym: 20-50$
Haircut: Around 8$ for a man, for a woman it’s more expensive
Daily meal: you could live on 5 euros a day but it would be a stretch, 6-7 sounds better.

  4. You need to start to prepare your own food, gonna be delicious and healthy.Buy one halogen oven from Amazon or local online shops and you gonna be a real king .Chicken and vegetabel is done in one hour, pizza fresh or frozen, bacon, chicken nuggets, fish fingers etc.Muffins, bred from Lidl prepared and just put oven 8 min with 180°© .I have one from Russel and hobbs for 80€( is the best) and is working hard in the last 4 years, daily .Please look on YouTube for more info.

  5. 1. Eat at a student restaurant *meniul zilei* (daily lunch) and count it as 3-4 times per week. In the mornings/evenings buy something from the local grocery shop and make yourself something to eat, like eggs, toast and butter and tea, preserves and bread etc. Should be around $5-8. Avoid McDonald’s or other brand restaurants.
    2. Invest in a hair clipper and learn to haircut yourself – or at least, there’s always that one student that give cheap haircuts in the dorm. Haircuts turned to be very expensive now, not worth it.
    3. Internet should be free in the dorms. However, since most ports are blocked (like for torrenting) get yourself a phone subscription and use from time to time when needed as a hotspot. You might not need too much of internet, you might need a TV subscription to see the soccer games!
    4. Never take taxis, just walk, or at least share the ride with your fellow students. Walking up to 40 minutes away should be normal. Anything longer – take the bus.
    5. Plan an evening out, 3 beers at least + club entrance if it’s a club and not a pub, once per week.
    6. Sun flower seeds 1 bag per week. Sun flower seeds are big part of our culture. This is not to be taken lightly.

  6. The same did the healthy minister from Romania ,he come to study and live after uni until become minister of health ,and magic all Romanians love him o hope is still in power.

  7. If I was you I’d make it $800-$1000/mo just to be sure. Also you didn’t budget for any poontang. You think it’s free down there? Think again. It’s constangeles we’re talking about.

  8. McDonalds x 2= 6$?

What can you even buy for 3$ at McDonalds? I think one menu at Mc is at least 5$ (probably will be more expensive by the time you get here)

But yes, you should be okay with around 500 euro per month. It won’t be a glamour lifestyle but you will get by.

  9. I am not from Constanța, but if you get a friend who is from there you’d live with less than that. Locals know all the cheap stuff in their city after all.
Also make great use of public transport rather than taxi or Uber or Bolt, these guys charge a lot lately

  10. You can get a medium menu at mcdonalds for about 4$, large comes to about 5.5$, try mcCombo 1 small chicken burger an fries or 2 burgers for more or less 1.4$ Taxis are baically a scam in romania. A monthly haircut should be 6-8$ or double that for every 2-2,5 weeks
