Hi,
I noticed that in the last couple of days the level of pollution in Zejtun is high:
The wind yesterday was flowing from south, today from south-west. Both direction should not bring a great deal of pollution and Zejtun on its own is not a very intensely populated area (and not many cars).
Does someone smarter and more knowledgeable than me find an explanation?
Thanks.

The reason for the current air quality levels is due to high levels of PM 2.5 and PM 10. Those usually originate from smoke, industries, cars…etc. I’m no expert either.
You can also check the air quality on this website: https://aqicn.org/city/malta/msida/
Maybe fireworks? I believe they are a cause of particulate matter
cars… especially dust created by friction, ie. tyres and brakes
I think you can expect heavy traffic on all arteries leading to harbour and airport… that’s where south and southwest are.
