its glagolitic script, alongside with cyrillic script it was used to convert Slavs to Christianity so this form was mainly used in Croatia in the middle ages, but since Serbs are still using cyrillic the nationalists cant use both so they have chosen this one to represent their glorious past and similar delusions.

We pride ourselves with it, as it is as unique as we are.
But nowadays, it’s almost literary a dead alphabet, taught only in elementary school when learning about the early croatian language, so that the kids at least have some knowledge of it. Or by high school teacher who are part of the “Society of Glagoljica” and want all students to know it and how to write in it. (hated that teacher to the core)
It’s the Witcher 3 alphabet. We use it a lot because everyone here likes the game very much.
People told you, and here is another fun fact, if you can learn it you can also use it in Ethiopia and Eritrea 😉

It was used to catholicize(not sure about the spelling here) slavs so two scripts were created galgolitic and cyrillic(different version than todays serbian cyrillic azbuka) croats used both glagolitic(https://hr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glagoljica) and cyrillic which is called “bosancica” or croatian cyrillic(https://hr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hrvatska_ćirilica) . In neo croatism starting from the 90s the glagolitic script was used as national symbol of historical value but the more common “bosancica” cyrillic was neglected on purpose mainly becouse it had, to uneducated mind, asociations with Serbia. In croatia today we have many historical pieces that were writen in glagolitic(bascanska ploca)and cyrillic(dubrovacki molitvenik i hvalov zbornik) just to name a few. The missionars who were doing the conversion were called Cyril and Method hence the name cyrilic. Today you will see many murals or monuments using glagolitic script but none using croatian cyrillic which there is no national will to resurrect it and use it as decorative historical alphabet. Glagolitic script was used in northen croatian coast while the cyrillic was used in Bosnia, southern Dalmatia and Dubrovnik.
