Nothing like an auld mullingar perch . Not the biggest , but the feeling of catching one right in the centre of your home town is amazing .the are a great metaphor for mullingar people , always stick together and fight like a fish twice there size 😅

15. Im from Mullingar and can say now that this may be the rarest catch of the century. The only life i thought in what looks like the canal were the swans but if this fish is from that water, it is a miracle it survived. The water is green for the wrong reason
