edit: i’ve been additionally informed that this is based on a show called “rockerne” and i watched a clip— holy crap, the characters were based on real people?! i’d love to hear what this show is about if anyone ever watched it, let me know! and WHAT THE HELL IS THE BOWLING BALL MAN SINGING? we used to try and sing it as kids but i have genuinely NO idea what he’s saying

the audio from this game has haunted me since age 10. my cousins and i found this norwegian flash game website forever ago called 123spill.com (don’t ask how we found it as kids growing up in texas usa but we did) and played the heck out of it, but we never knew what they were saying. i was pretty sure that they were speaking norwegian since that’s where the site is from, but i’ve been informed it’s actually danish.

can any of you kind dane folk please help me translate? 😖 i can’t even tell you how many nights i laid awake as a child imagining the bowling ball guy as a sleep paralysis demon. why is he so angry? why are all of them so angry?

    On misses: “Then you just shoot, and then it’s like you just don’t hit”
    At random: “What the hell” and “Totally shitty taste in music”

    It is a character called Baune, from satirical TV shows “Drengene fra Angora” and “Rockerne” (both shows starring the same people)

  3. The characters you play in the game are the main characters in the tv series called “rocker svinnene” (biker pigs), which is a satire about danish biker group made in a time where those had a lot of presence in Denmark. The characters also have a heavy danish accent to top it all of.

    The characters is simply saying quotes from the series, like “it’s a great job glen” and “get out of my rocker fort”. Quotes that kinda sound weird without context (you having seen the series)

  6. Oh man I remember me and my brothers running around when we were like 10 and saying “Pik og store bowlingpatter” and “I skal holde jer væk fra min rockerborg bliver der sagt af Glen” all the time.

    It came from the satire show this game was based upon. The show was very popular in Denmark at the time.
