Do these tricycles next to houses in Norway have any meaning or are they just for decorative purposes?

  1. Since people don’t steal very much stuff like this in Norway, the parents are not around collecting the kid’s stuff all the time.

  2. When human beings are young they often want to learn how to ride bicycles (similar construction, but has only two wheels). This is simply a tool for them to become more confident and understand this complex contraption. So not a decoration, nor do they have a “meaning” other than for kids to learn and have fun 🙂

  3. I just assume it is like in Sweden, i.e. if it’s visibly placed at the entrance of a village on the countryside, it means ‘There are kids playing here that just might pop out on the road from hedge. Please slow down’.

  4. It’s a trick to remind drivers that there are kids playing in this area.

In Norway there are many smal roads that have issues with people driving way to fast. Specially on the less sentral places.

  5. They kind of show that once up on a time there were kids in this house, and that you should slow down…
