  1. Where’s the global warming police on this one? Surely a fair few beef cattle worth of emissions for this nonsense.

  2. I remember once when some roofs started going on fire due to the embers the local DUP MLA complained the fire brigade should be pre dowsing the nearby houses to stop it happening. It was so blatant that he was trying to avoid responsibility, blaming everyone but his community.

  3. The houses were there first ?

By having the bonfires there it means they can attack the emergency services from their free houses.

  4. Crafty stuff – building houses near their bonfires to force them further out into the countryside.

Poor lad. Will his persecution know no bounds?

  5. It’s shocking that in this day and age people insist on building houses right next to a bonfire site. Bonfires are an annual occurrence, their natural habitat is a mix of open space, bitter misguided anger, sectarian hatred, no environmental consideration, misunderstood or even no knowledge of history plus too much free time and wood pallets. Must add that they add to the local economy in that they require supervision of limited local civic resources such as firemen, and clean up crews. This is a cultural phenomenon native to loyalism for King Billy (long dead) who was not local and was funded by the pope. But who needs facts when there is anarchy to be had.
