The government is now a minority in the Dáil. Election incoming?

  1. They’ll limb on, as the green rebels and McHugh will probably still support them on most votes, as will the gobshite independents. Still, very dicey territory to be in, one or two controversies and collapse is a major possibility.

The obvious crisis point still likely to be Varadkar’s ascension to Taoiseach in December. If the investigation is still ongoing, it’s going to be a very tough choice for some FF and Green T.D.’s to vote for him. Personally I think FF would be mad not to pull the plug then, but they’ve been so pussy whipped by FG in this government, good chance they’ll continue on.

Edit: news breaking that he won’t be charged, so this is already out of date despite being posted 8 minutes ago lol.

  2. I doubt the government will allow an early election seeing as how SF is topping the polls. They’ll probably get labour to join the coalition or something

  3. Seems our government still likes to take notes from the Brits every now and again on how to run a country when they’re out of ideas themselves lol
