Anyone recognise this? it’s on the door to my boiler outside. there might have been a hole there, I’m not sure. there’s nothing on the inside of the door when I open it.

What size is it? Looks a bit smaller than a ping pong ball but hard to tell. Could be an egg sack for a spider but I’ve never seen anything like that

Do you have a Clothes Dryer / Thumble dryer with outside vent by any chance ? Looks like a ball of lint / wool , that got trapped around a screw head
